Medieval / Renaissance Great Pipes
The Great Pipe is a single drone, conical bore bagpipe with a warm and present sound. The timbre and visual presence of the bagpipe is similar to other bagpipes found on the Atlantic coast of Europe such as the Spanish Gaita, the Breton Vueze, and the Great Highland bagpipe to name a few. Picture below are a set in Maple with Horn Mounts and a set in Cocobolo with Afzalla mounts. Both Sets were decorated with inlay to match the colour tones of the wood.
